Measuring the change we create across Nepal
We support Low-carbon transition through our investments in renewable hydropower (Electro Power, Gurkha Hydro), climate-resilient agriculture, and environmentally responsible tourism.
We have demonstrated sustained job growth: Expansion at Himalayan Java cafes, Electro Power and Sarbottam Spinning Mills, is supporting income stability in both urban and rural regions.
We promote inclusive workplaces and track gender participation: Portfolio companies show meaningful female employment, including 53% women at Sarbottam Spinning Mills and 51% women at Fikkal Tea & Coffee, with growing opportunities for women across agriculture and manufacturing.

Four sectors where Nepal’s potential runs deepest and where patient capital, hands-on mentorship and our hybrid impact-and-profit approach can finally unlock it.
Nepal’s largest untapped resource. Nepal holds an estimated ~42 GW of feasible hydropower against just ~3 GW installed one of the world’s largest untapped clean-energy opportunities.
Green Climate Fund accredited. NIMB Bank’s GCF accreditation positions NIBL as a trusted partner for climate finance and global investors.
A proven growth engine. At ~7.4% of GDP and nearly one million jobs, tourism is a proven engine for inclusive growth from Himalayan trekking to responsible luxury hospitality that showcases Nepal to the world.
Our forward focus. We invest in tech and tech-enabled companies, fintech, SaaS, and digital-first SMEs, diversifying the portfolio while sustaining a hybrid impact-and-profit approach.

The Road Ahead — In Partnership with MomoVC
Building on a portfolio with proven impact, we are launching a new USD 30 million fund drawing on three pools of local, diaspora and development-finance capital to back the SMEs and tech-enabled businesses that will shape Nepal’s next decade.
We’re doing it with MomoVC, a fund manager already registered in the United States whose first fund raised USD 2.2M in four months. Through a Co-GP model we combine patient local capital with global diaspora reach investing USD 100K–500K per company alongside mentorship, networks and a hybrid impact-and-profit approach.
